A good half day adventure awaits those heading out this direction. Access from Lopez Lake area or Pozo will get you here. This is a mint container log only at a place you chose your next direction.
This was placed more as a check point for cachers making a day of this area. I drove here in 2 wheel drive from arroyo grande but having 4 whell drive is a good idea or at least a vehicle that sits a bit off the ground. It takes about 50 minutes to get here from town and heading here from Pozo has a bit short dirt road driving. From here you can head to the look out station on top of the mountain for a few other hides. Views are awesome. There are also 2 mines in the area. one of which is highly recommended, Rinonada cache by Oreo Pony. Mountain biking is good out here too. The garcia ridge is for motos, or jeeps and is pretty rough. You better go for mega tsunami while you are out here. have fun out in the sticks and be safe and always mind the potential for forest fires. Enjoy
