Geocache Description:

Cache is on a mountain ridge overlooking Watauga lake

This is jkharry, dirtycaribbean, twin keifer, and twin_kelby's first cache hide. The four of us will be maintaining this cache.

Parking is located off from HWY 167 and the coordinates is N36 21.520 W081 58.210

From boat ramp there are two trails that will lead you to the cache. The right trail is easier, but longer and has some old foundations along the way. The left trail is shorter; however this is a steeper climb to cache and has better views of the lake. Cache is approximently 1 1/2 to 2 mile in from boat ramp. The cache is a plastic container about the size of a coffee container. We have totally sealed the container with black tape.

This cache is in the mountains of Tennessee, so beware of all the "critters" in the mountains.

We have started this cache with 7 travel bugs we have collected. Three of these travel bugs I picked up in Texas. The other 4 travel bugs were picked up by jkharry, twin_kelby and twin keifer.

This is really a beautiful lake, so bring your camera, swim suits, fishing poles or lounge chairs.

From the boat ramp, look across the lake and you will see where I grew up with my sister and brothers. My parents and brother still live across the lake from the boat ramp.

I hope you enjoy the hunt.
