Geocache Description:

Fairly obvious hide near the Jindabyne pumping station

Lake Jindabyne is a holding lake for water to be pumped back up into the mountains for the Snowy scheme, and from the cache location, you get a good view of the pumping station. This cache is located as close to the pumping station as the National Parks and Wildlife service will let you put a cache (ie. it's just outside NPWS managed land).

There are two options for getting to this cache. Most will park at the gate to the pumping station. From there it's a short walk.

The other option is to use a boat and park it on the shores, then it should be less than a 60 second walk up the beach to the cache. The advantage of using a boat is that you can keep going past the cache towards the pumping station for a closer view.

The cache itself is a 1 litre plastic cylindrical container. I've classed it as small because it will only fit the log book and a couple of swaps - it's not big enough to be a regular.
