The circular walking route of St. Simeon has a few cliffy alleys and ist about 11.5 km long. A wonderful view on the Ucka-massif and Gracišce rewards you for your efforts. It is absolut necessary to equip yourself with good shoes and enough provisions. The route markings along the path should be followed. You will pass some chapels and farmsteads. An insider tip and absolutely worth seeing: the obviously only in winter and spring active waterfall Sopot, one of the most wonderful waterfalls of Istria.
Fortunately we had a companion and guide at the same time: After the first 200 m a dog came along and didn't turn away the whole route. As it always scratched itself, we guessed that it must have fleas (German: Floh) and baptized it Florian. We finally found in the summit book a note that this dog had been following several times hikers since 2006. Maybe you can also be lucky to meet it face-toface. So, don't forget the treats. ;-)

Der Weg des heiligen Simeon ist eine Rundwanderung mit ein paar kniffligen steilen Passagen und ca. 11,5 km lang. Man wird mit einem herrlichen Blick auf das Ucka-Massiv und auf Gracišce belohnt. Gute Schuhe und ausreichende Verpflegung sind unbedingt notwendig. Der Weg ist mit Wanderzeichen "ausgeschildert", die aber genau beachtet werden müssen. Man kommt dabei an idylischen Gehöften und mehreren Kapellen vorbei. Als Geheimtipp unbedingt sehenswert: der offenbar nur im Winter und Frühjahr Wasser führende Wasserfall Sopot, einer der schönsten Wasserfälle Istriens.
Wir hatten das Glück einen Wegbegleiter und gleichzeitigen Routenführer zu haben. Nach den ersten 200m kam ein Hund zu uns gelaufen, der die gesamte Strecke nicht von uns gewichen ist. Da er sich so oft gescharrt hat, lag die Vermutung nahe, dass er Flöhe hat und wir haben ihn auf den Namen Florian getauft. Im Gipfelbuch haben wie eine Notiz gefunden, das dieser Hund seit 2006 öfters Wegbegleiter der Wanderer ist. Vielleicht habt auch ihr das Glück ihn persönlich zu begegnen. Also Leckerlies nicht vergessen ;)
Die Ausgangskoordinaten sind Startpunkt und Parkplatz zugleich.
