The Cannery at Del Monte Square Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A typical microcache in a typical place; look for a 35mm film canister attached to the obvious thing in the obvious way.

At one time, the Cannery at Del Monte Square was the world's largest peach cannery. It was built in 1907 on the corner of Leavenworth and Beach Streets, which had been destroyed by the fire after the 1906 quake.

This is a film canister cache, large enough for the log and a few small trade goods. When I placed it, it included a number of tiger's eye beads; take as many as you'd like, but please leave something equally small for another.

This location is certainly touristy, so you might have to sit around while you wait for a good opportunity to retrieve or replace the cache.
