***Unless you find the nano and sign the log, then you're not finding the correct cache. I have a suspicion someone did a "throw down" because lots signatures are missing from the log I just replaced 3-5-13.***
This cache is part of the “Downtown / Main Street USA" series. It is the 4th one placed in North Carolina.
CACHE IS NOT IN THE POTTED PLANTS - NO NEED TO DISTURB THOSE.
I discovered this series while we were on a driving vacation from NC to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks this past summer. I wanted to bring the series to our area and hope you will add your own town.
Pilot Mountain is a wonderful small town just a little north of the actual mountain and Pilot Mountain State Park. It is the town the television show "Andy Griffith Show" referred to as Mount Pilot. Andy Griffith grew up in Mt. Airy, just north of Pilot Mountain and the show was based on this area of North Carolina. Mt. Airy was known as Mayberry.
This cache is right on Main Street, which can be quite busy at times. You can be seen from all sides. Come "sit" a spell and enjoy small town life!
Plenty of free parking right along the street!
