We were hiking along this dirt road and looked to the east and saw all these rocks lined up as if they were spelling something. It was too far away to walk over to explore so we just attributed the stange rocks formations to "alien rock graffiti". Let us know if we are wrong.
Cache is placed in an area marked at the trailhead as a California ecological preserve. We met a land manager from another agency at the trailhead and he said several agencies own land out here. He asked us not to ride our MTBs so we hoofed it and had a great time. There is one area close to the Otay Lakes Reservoir that has signs clearly indicating that nobody is allowed in that area. Please heed those signs and any others that you may see.
