The cache is located in Thatcher’s Copse itself and there are many
paths here to explore. They are muddy in Winter and the smaller
paths do get a bit overgrown in the Summer. This is a very popular
area for dog walkers, but the cache is hopefully in a less well
visited part to allow muggle free searching, but you never
know!
A free public Car Park at N50.49.841 W001 15.013 from where to
start. There are many walks from this Car Park and generally all
the paths lead off out of the Copse. Take the path leading South to
start with. You won’t need to leave a main path. The cache is
located within the Copse on the edge of a path, hopefully in a
quieter area for you to have time to find it in peace. There is
quite heavy tree cover, so think about that when getting near and
what your GPS is saying. The cache is a 1L Regular Plastic
container with an unregistered Geocoin for the FTF. There is a log
book, pencil and a selection of swaps. If you fancy a longer walk
afterwards, then there are other Caches in the area that can be
reached from this Car Park if you wish. This is my first cache and
I hope you enjoy the area and finding it. Please ensure that it is
replaced exactly where you found it.
If you find this cache whilst doing the Titchfield 10K, I suggest leaving the woods the same way you came in as this is the best way, trust me!
