As promised, the winter event.
A basic meet and greet at beautiful Beaverdam park. We have the Whitcomb Lodge reserved from 10 am until 2 pm. I can add an hour onto either end if need be, but i thought this would be enough time for folks to gather for a pot luck brunch, share stories, meet new faces, and get reaquainted with ones we already know, but rarely see. The lodge has a full kitchen, tables, chairs, and HEAT. The playground is nearby for the little ones. You will still have time afterwards to hit the trails, or stop for the park and grabs before dark. There are new caches in the area for the away from here folks to find, Watch this listing for updated info..Please send a "will attend' if you are planning on coming, along with somewhat of an idea as to what you plan to bring.************************************UPDATED INFO****************************I saw that we had some folks planning to attend, who had never been to beaverdam, so i thought some trail info would be helpfull.At last count i think there are 20 or 21 caches here, The trail is about 10 miles end to end.(all day hike) some steep hills. There is a good size gap in the middle where there are no caches. Most folks hunt the front side one day, and the back side another, although we have had a few brave souls to do it all at once. Im hoping to have several more caches in place at the front entrance close to the event. These will not be published until after the event, so that folks attending can have a chance at a few FTF's..In events past, I was able to use my boat to cut back on the hiking distance, but since this is gonna be February, ice may play a factor in that.
