Geocache Description:

An easily reached urban Nano cache overlooking a statue of Boudica near Colchester train station.

Boudica didn’t like the Romans much. Following the death of her husband, the Icenian kingdom should have transferred to her daughters. Instead the Romans took it - flogging Boudica and raping her daughters in the process. In response, she gathered a few buddies and visited Camulodunum (now Colchester) and destroyed the town and those within.

Strange then that nearly 2000 years later Colchester council should commission a metal statue remembering Boudica’s contribution to the town. But the result is a really nice modern statue in the middle of a roundabout near Asda, usually ignored by people who pass by.

The location of this magnetic nano cache on the footbridge over the A134 gives a good view of this statue. The location is also very handy for those walking to the Colchester train station. Actually finding it will require some stealth, as this is a very public place. It's a nano, so please remember your pen!
