Geocache Description:

This cache is located within Bethel Park on Bethel Road. The park opens at daybreak and closes at 10:00 pm. Reaching ground zero requires a short walk of less than 1/4 mile from the parking lot. You will find a small footpath behind the restroom. Muggles probably won't be a problem, but keep a vigilant eye open.

This is the first cache in the series “All God’s Creatures”, dedicated to the wild and wonderful animal kingdom. “What is a Liger?”, you may ask. It's half lion, half tiger, and completely real. Now thanks to a cameo in the 2004 cult movie Napoleon Dynamite, the liger has leaped into the limelight, prompting fans to ask, What are they really like? The faintly striped, shaggy-maned creatures are the offspring of male lions and female tigers, which gives them the ability to both roar like lions and chuff like tigers—a supposedly affectionate sound that falls somewhere between a purr and a raspberry. Weighing in at about a thousand pounds (450 kilograms) each, they typically devour 50 pounds (23 kilograms) of raw meat in a meal. Ligers should not be confused with Tigons, a cross between a male tiger and a female Lion. According to Napoleon Dynamite, Tigons stink and are totally lame… Seriously though, is this not one awesome animal?

***Now, about the cache… You are looking for a small container which resembles the animal for which this cache was named. It contains only a small log sheet. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil. Please, try to use only one line when signing. Replace the container as well as, or better than you found it.

ENJOY!!!
