Traffic Control Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alansee: Well! For the third time in 19 months not only has the cache gone, but the hiding spot has gone as well! The third different hide that is!

Under the circumstances, I have decided that it is best to let this one go. [:(]

Geocache Description:

As Melbourne grows so does its traffic.

This is one of the busiest corners in Melbourne, taking some 40,000 cars per day on a normal weekday (and hence the Difficulty rating). Despite this, I have seen Red-rumped Parrots feeding beside GZ.

A recent report to the State Government recommended $1.5 Billion of works to improve traffic flow along Hoddle Street, essentially creating a little Freeway in the inner city. Or is that an Arterial? Don't worry though, this cache will be safe for quite a while yet!

For details see - Tunnel Mooted to Fix Hoddle .

For several good reasons, the Cache is a micro, and should be easy to locate. Retrieving and replacing it unseen may be a bit more of a challenge. Nights and Sundays are definitely the best times to get this one, unless you can deploy invisible caching techniques. Its location does give you a fighting chance if you time it properly.

I remember when Hoddle Street was single carriageway!

You are looking for a painted Eclipse tin. Cachers who found it prior to its move in January 2010 are welcome to re-find it.

Please ensure that you bring a pen to sign the log.
