Geocache Description:

Easy walk up moderate hill. Park along power road.

The stretch of Arizona 79 between Oracle Function and Florence, AZ is referred to as Pinal Pioneer Parkway. Like many others, I have enjoyed caching in the area along this stretch of road; specially the Middle Mountains. With that thought in mind, I have decided do a series of caches I’m calling the “Pinal Pioneer Parkway Hilltop Series”. All these caches will be located at or near the tops of several hills along AZ79. All will have parking off of AZ79 and hopefully be accessible in a 2 wheel drive vehicles. As always when caching in southern Arizona be careful of things that stick, sting, bite and strike. Most of all have fun. Happy Caching!!!!!!!!

This area is on state trust land so a permit is required. The fees are now $50 for individuals and $75 for families for a one year permit.
See (visit link) to apply for a permit.

There is a nearby ADOT Benchmark.

Accessable in 2 wheel drive, high clearance vehicle.

Congratulations to Carmel FTF.
