Geocache Description:

ZEPHYRUS 5

Originally this cache ws in a 5 gallon (20L) camouflaged plastic container which needs you to close its lid carefully. It is named Zephyrus (West Wind) in the spirit of its friendly neighbouring cache, Aquila Letterbox Hybrid (GCX804). The cache was changed in Sept. 2013 to a small cammoed cache and then back again to the 5 gallon container on Sept. 2015!

Explore this area called Poplar Bluffs, to see many interesting elements along the river. This area is part of the Meewasin Valley and is open only from sunrise to sunset . Since the gate is closed in the winter, the terrain rating in winter should be higher.

The original cache was full of many trading items ranging from wooden nickels to an imported travel hanger and lots of goodies for kids and cachers. There is a FTF prize of a certificate and pilot172 unactivated coin. Also included are 2 travel bugs anxious to move around.
The original Travel bugs are:
EEEKS from Ontario and
Eeyores Great Explore from Illinois
REMEMBER THAT TRAVEL BUGS NEED TO BE MOVED FROM CACHE TO CACHE with the finder making a report each time.

Please try and be discreet in accessing since this can be a busy area, especially in the spring and summer. Thanks to Sask-girl and Novy for their inspiration as part of the Winter Cache Game (GC1K5XV)

Don’t forget there are a number of other caches nearby on the west bank of the South Saskatchewan!

CONGRATS TO alex063 as FTF who beat all the Saskatoonians to the cache!!
