Geocache Description:

PLEASE NO COINS OR TRAVEL BUGS ARE TO BE PLACED INTO THIS CACHE AS THEY MAY GET MUGGLED DUE TO LITTLE MUGGLES KNOWING WHERE THE CACHE IS

This cache is bring you to Tonks' Well, it is one of few remaining original wells that can be still found in Wellington. The well was covered over when piped water became available and was only revealed when the Wellington bypass was constructed

This well was put in to supply water to the cottages in this area, the cottages are now being moved from the current location to across the road. The well was situated at the back of the cottages and the bricks that were supplied to build this well were hand made from Tonks. The Tonks' family opened their own brick work which supplied Wellington and was also shipped around New Zealand. The site where this monument is was constructed from bricks that were found around Wellington that were originated from Tonks' factory.

To find the final cache all you need to do is solve the following

The year the well was covered - first two digits subtract this from the South co-ordinates
The width of the well take the middle number subtract it from the last number and then place in front of the first number to get a two digit number, subtract this from your East reading.

The cache is a camo 350ml lock container, please replace it back to the exact position that you found it as we dont want it to be muggled as this location is a VERY high muggle location. Also NO pictures of the final location as we dont want to spoil it for other cachers..
When placed the cache contained the following

Logbook
