Geocache Description:

Our first set of caches is a lovely walk from Broughton and Pytchley (or vice versa).

The walk is 1.5 miles along a bridleway between Broughton and Pytchley. The path can get rather muddy in winter so boots or wellies are recommended.

The other caches on the route are:
GC1KWH5 Windmill View
GC1KWHG Top End Pytchley

There is water near the cache site so please be careful with small children. The pond is actually fed by a natural spring from under the stone arch. If you decide to take a look, take care as the bank is steep and can be very slippery.

The container is a 1lt Lock type camouflaged box that contained a load of swaps, a TB and a badge for the FTF when placed.

There is a good pub in Pytchley that serves food and real ale. The Overstone Arms is just a short distance from the parking in Pytchley. There are also 2 pubs in Broughton, the Sun and the Red Lion, the latter serves food and real ale.

Parking at the Broughton end is by the roadside near the Village Hall (do not park in the Hall Car Park as this does get locked when the Hall is not in use. Parking at the Pytchley end is on the roadside. Please note that it is near the School so can get very busy at the start and finish of the school day.
