This Mystery Cache works only in conjunction with the
"Mother Of All Caches"
Please visit this listing on more information about access to the
area.
This true Mystery-Cache's starting point is near the old kraal
cache GC1KVFJ, so you may want to do those two together. Note that
this cache is too far to walk- you will definitely need wheels for
this one!
After visiting the 'Mother Of All Caches' and establishing the true
coordinates, head down to the given spot. You will find yourself at
some pylons holding 3 Eskom power cables. Look how far these cables
stretch across the ravine before they meet the next pylons! What a
job this must have been to get those cables across this
ravine!!
In order to work out the coordinates for the cache location, you
need to know how many meters away the next pylon is. Unless you are
a very accurate guesstimator, you will have no other option than to
drive around the ravine to find out. (If it wasn't for the high
voltage, this could make for one heck of a foofy-slide!) Use common
sense and visual navigation to find your way to the other side of
the ravine. You will be able to see the hill where the other pylons
are locacted from most points of your journey there. As an
additional helper, I have added the coordinates of a 4-way junction
you have to pass. Head in an easterly direction at this junction.
(note that the coordinates given for this junction are the true
coordinates)
Once you are at the relevant set of pylons, measure the distance to
the first ones. Take the first digit of your reading in meters.
Call that digit 'A'
A+1=B A-3=C the final cache is at S 28º 40.B72 E030º 00.C1A
