Geocache Description:

This cache is in an ammo can that I won at the "Holiday Shindy" event cache.

On 1848 John W. Robinson and Stephen Mead established ferry transportation for freight, animals, and persons across the river. In 1856 Harvey Wood purchased interest and later acquired property which was maintained by Wood family until 1911. Charges were .50 cents for each passenger, horse, jenny or other animal.

Taken near the cache site.

This is how it looks in the spring time.

Cache is an ammo can and should be easy to find. The terrain is a little steep in some places. The view is great, especially in the spring time when the poppies are in bloom.

Do not park on the side of the road, there is plenty of parking at the vista point.
