Step back in time to 11 Apr 1863, in the midst of the great American Civil War. This cache is within the confinds of Fort Rosecrans, a truly preserved part of our American past. Notice the high earth works that make the walls of the Fort and the beautiful body of water that also wraps its mighty. This Fort was used as a way to protect the city of Suffolk by the Union Army against attacks to the city by the Confederate Army. This Fort was named after General William Rosecrans.
The cache is a regular size ammo container for trading and a log for your visit. Please use the parking Coordinates as this is the best spot to park.
