Ali Kat loves to cache but in the Winter time it is rather hard for her if there is a lot of snow like this year. So we decided since her three wheeler doesn't really work good in snow over a foot to try something new. We went out and bought her a sled with a rope so we could pull her to the caches. At first she wasn't sure but once we got going the only thing we heard was FASTER, FASTER DAD. The other day she wanted to go out and help place a few caches for her 3rd B-day bash. We loaded her up with caches and off we went.
This cache and three others are placed in a undeveloped city park called South Lake Park. There is a parking area of of Butters ave. put they don't plow it in the winter you can park along Riverside Dr and walk across the pedestrian bridge to get to South Lake Park. There are no paved trails in here but they do mow them and when they aren't mowed it will low undergrowth. There is plenty of wildlife to see on your walk and a view of Sauk river. You are looking for an Ammo can hidden in the traditional manner. Just because this park is undeveloped doesn't mean this park doesn't get used there is a lot of muggles who come out here to run and walk so be sure to keep an eye open for them because they sneak up on you I know I had one sneak up on me when I was placing the caches out here.
