In 1985, Tonkin Hwy cut through Redcliffe, potentially creating an
east/west divide. This spurred one man, Mr Coffee, a man who had
lived all his life in Redcliffe, to join the Belmont council and
made it his life's work to represent Redcliffe's interests.
Mr Coffee saw at once that eastern Redcliffe would be
effectively isolated from the rest of Belmont. He also saw that
this would restrict attendance of the Primary School and therefore,
possibly force its closure. Therefore, he successfully lobbied for
the First Street pedestrian bridge to be built.
On the western end of the bridge, this cache is a well hidden
camo painted Sistema container. You don't need to leave the bridge
to find it.
There's an extra though - a 3 digit number is located on the
inside cover of the logbook. You'll need this to help find the
coordinates of another local cache,
Southbank of Swan.
We hope you enjoy the hunt and take a moment to walk the
bridge.
