The cache is placed a short distance away from the highest point
of Y Domen Fawr. At the highest point there's a reminder of the
industrial past in the form of a concrete base. You can get some
great views from here on a clear day looking down two valleys and
the other way you can see the Brecons in the distance.
The cache is just a short detour from the Sirhowy Valley Walk
along mountain foot paths. Care should be taken especially after
rain/snow, good walking footwear and warm clothing is advised.
Note. The mountain road shown on OS maps as Man-Moel Road
is only passable by 4x4 , if you do access the cache along this
road by 4x4 please don't drive onto the common (even if you see
other 4x4s off road) the damage caused by off road vehicles is
plain to see.
