State Forest is open
from dawn to dusk.......BLAZE ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Locate at the Slate River Watershed.. Bring a fishing pole or maybe your boat.
Slate River Impoundment
Located almost entirely within the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest. When the lake was created, a great deal of standing timber was left to provide fish habitat. The lake is shallow, stump-filled, and has an abundance of aquatic vegetation.
The lake is open from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset
Cache is small containing log sheet and pen. FTF prize also.. Can drive within a few feet of cache.
