Flash Mob-Fishing Downtown being held in conjunction with Yuma Warm Up Event on February 7. Ground Zero at the fountain directly west of Lute's Casino, Main Street, Old Town Yuma.
Date: Saturday, February 7, 2009
Time: 1500 (3:00 pm) to 1515 (3:15 pm)...... 15 minutes
Where: Main Street, Old Town Yuma, fountain directly West of front entrance to Lute's Casino
What: Fifteen minutes to fish the fountain, sign log, pose for photos and disperse
This is our schedule:
Prior to 1500 - Participants should arrive, stroll around the area, window shop and generally act as "Muggles" with no indication that we are there for a purpose. Please do not congregate around the fountain until signal is given.
Promptly at 1500, Wayne43 will approach the fountain, place a large, white bucket on the fountain and a horn will sound for event to commence. Fishing poles will be provided at this time, participants will surround the fountain and "fish" long enough to have pictures taken and then pass their pole to another fisherman/woman/person. Those not fishing will sign attendance log until their turn to fish arrives.
Attendance log will consist of a signed 3x5 card with your geocaching name(s). Just place it in the white bucket. It will save time if you bring a pre-prepared 3x5 card to drop in the bucket. There will be 3x5 cards available for you to fill out. Bring your own pen.
Continue to fish and pass your fishing pole to others until the 15 minutes has elapsed; or, until the horn sounds indicating end of event. At that time please return fishing poles and disperse........persumable to carry on at Lutes for the Warm Up Event.
Please feel free to take your own photos and post them when you submit your attendee logs. You're welcome to bring your own fishing poles and anything else that would help make this a great fishing expedition.
