Geocache Description:

A three night camping event in Northumberland.
24/25/26 July 2009

We would like to invite Haggis (Scottish) and Penguins (English) to join us for our first camping event at

The campsite has facilities for caravans and camping, it also has a Timber Lodge for Hire a Self Catering Cottage and Travel Rooms for those not wanting to camp.

The site offers:-
Heated Toilet Blocks
Free Hot Showers
Electric Hook-Ups for caravans and motorhomes (there is NO electricity on the camping fields)
Inside washing up facilites and a fridge freezer for campers
Loads of (dog) walks

We have already been up and checked out the site, and choosen a camping field which will be for ourselves only.
The field will hold between 40-60 tents depending on their size.

Caravans and tents are not allowed in the same field together, but it is 2 minute walk from the caravan site to the camping field over a small bridge, which campers drive over to get to their fields, the small bridge is closed off between 10.30pm and 7.30am this is to keep noise to a minimum on the site at night.

I am not allowed to put any prices on the cache page, the prices are on the website above, or if you email me I will give you the full details.

When booking please say you are with MANDY SEYMOUR'S WALKING GROUP (yep, I took the easy way out!!) and the dates 24/25/26 July 2009, to ensure you will be on the same field as the rest of the geocachers.
A deposit will be required at the time of booking and the remainder of the payment in full when you arrive at the campsite.

BARRIER
The main entrance to the campsite is blocked with a barrier, those who are camping for the weekend can either get a fob from the reception upon arrival for a fee (email me for details), which is fully refundable when you leave, which will lift the barrier for you each time you enter the campsite, or you will have to jump out of your car and go to the reception for them to open the barrier for you (it is about a 30 paces walk from the barrier to the reception)

DOGS
Dogs are FREE, but must be kept on leads whilst on the park, there are lots of walks from the campsite where they can run loose.

HOW IT WILL GO (I hope)

On the Friday evening my Haggis friends are going to do Haggis, Neeps and Tatties with a whisky gravy for supper.

This will be a FREE meal to all attending the event and will be served at 8pm prompt on the Friday evening if you would like to join us for this meal I MUST know in advance so we know how many to make the meal for.

You will need to bring your own plate and cutlery!!

Saturday will be caching all day, hopefully with a bit of help from my Haggis friends there will be a few new ones in the area :0)
The main event will be from 4pm to 8pm Saturday evening when there will be a buffet, I would like to ask each team attending to bring something savoury and something sweet to put on the table for everyone to share.

DAY VISITORS
If you would like to come along for the main event on the Saturday teatime/evening only, there is a car parking fee for day visitors you will need to stop at the campsites barrier and pop into the reception to pay this, this is the campsites charge for visitor parking for the day. (again email me for the charge)
