A24 Re-Visited 'Washington 2' Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

drdick&vick: Went out to check this one today and unfortunately it has gone "missing in action" so now archiving it. Had a good run but unfortunately we are believers in not replacing these type of caches once they have been found and removed, shame though. [:(]

Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches that are located on stretches of the original A24, in West Sussex, before they were bypassed by the modern stretches of dual carriageways. This cache is close to Washington and is an almost forgotten stretch of road, parking is close by and a short walk to the cache site. While you retrieve the cache and sign the log you can here and see the A24 close by and then think what this little bit of road would have been like without the bypass to take all of the traffic that now flows along the busy A24. The cache contains Log book with pen and various swap items. Tree cover makes the GPS signal a bit hit and miss but I got +/- 12ft when I set the co-ords.

REMEMBER TO LOG BUGS & COINS IN AND OUT BY NAME
it makes it easier to try and trace them if they go missing.
