Micro cache hidden near a busy crossroads, with some fine views of the Ochil hills and Logie Kirk.
The Parish of Logie is one of the oldest in Scotland and nestles at the foot of the Ochil Hills, just north of the River Forth at Stirling. Whilst you are in the area, the ruins of "Logie Old Kirk" are well worth visiting. This beautifully situated ruined kirk dates from around 1684 although, a church at Logie is first mentioned in a charter by the Bishop of Dunblane from 1178. In the graveyard there are almost a hundred stones which bear dates earlier than 1707.
Ample parking is available at Logie Kirk car park, although it's probably best to avoid it on Sunday mornings during the 11.00am service.
Please take care with the roads as this is a very busy crossroads. Probably not a good idea for those with young children who might run into the road. Stealth will be needed at most times. Because of the busy traffic in the area, dogs should be kept on a lead.
At the time of placing, the co-ords were acurate to within 15-20 feet of the cache.
A pen/pencil will be needed to sign the log.
Congratulations robertburns on FTF! :-)
