Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the anniversary of my father's passing at the Glenn Abbey Memorial Cemetary. The coordinates are the coordinates of the actual geocache. But you will note that the cache itself cannot be opened without a combination.

The combination of the lock are simple: take my father's birthday: MM-DD-YYYY. Add the month + day + year together. The resulting 4 digit number is the combination. The question, of course, is what is my father's birthday?

Placed inside the box are a few trinkets. A few things from my father's garage and a very special FTF prize: a solid silver commemorative geocaching coin.

Initial contents:
Solid silver commemorative geocaching coin (FTF)
Magnesium fire starter
Insect repellent
Little toy etch-a-sketch
Pair of wire cutters
Small deck of playing cards
Small maglite flashlight
Water bottle holder

If you're not the first to find this cache, worry not, I plan on placing a coin on a random day every 3 months until I run out.

Please take care of the cache. It opens by entering the proper 4 digit combination and twisting the lever clockwise. If you entered the combination incorrectly, there is a small black switch that clears the combination entry. The box closes by closing the door and twisting the lever counter clockwise. If you have problems opening or closing the cache, please call me at the number listed on the door of the lockbox.

Glenn Abbey Memorial Park is closed at sundown--so make sure you schedule ample time to grab the cache before they lock the gates!

"#1 Dad"

My dad was a Husband
   he showed from his heart
how to stay with your soul mate
   until death do you part
My dad was a father
   to my siblings and me
My dad was a builder
   he built a family
My dad was an electrician,
   whose light never stopped
My dad was a gardener,
   and we are his crop
My dad was a mason,
   his walls kept us safe
My dad was a sailor,
   and so we are brave
My dad worshiped God
   that's why we’ve been blessed
My dad’s in my heart
   ...and will always be missed.
