This cache is located along the Pygmy Forest Trail, approx 2 miles from the starting point at Jughandle State park... You will traverse theough 200,000 years of geological change represented in the 250 ft accent to the location. Cache is a .30 Cal ammocan hidden well amongst the immediate area of the point of interest here being a towering Hemlock with exposed roots. You will have passed many plant varieties described to you in the Pamphlet avail at the beginning.
You will be standing amongst a Red Huckleberry at the nearby marker shaded by the towering Hemlock. This Red Huckleberrt differs from its reletive Blue Huckleberry by its angled green twigs and Red berries. All Huckleberrys are edible. The flowers are shaped like the flowers of its cousins~The Manzanita and Madrone. They range along the coast from SF to Alaska and throughout the Sieraa Nevada.
Cache was placed to accompany the previous cache placed and the Earthcache created the same day... This container was placed in the company of Sweetpea and EmmaGem just before nightfall upon the return from playin in the Pygmy Forest. New location has also been plotted out, featuring other interesting points, so stay tuned for upcomming caches to the area in the future.
