Geocache Description:

Plenty to look at on this old abandoned road

I was looking at some old 1930's aerial photography of Atco, and realized that this trail used to be a road of some kind, even before Stevens Ave existed. I took a ride by and sure enough, there is definitely signs that there were once some buildings back here. Unfortunately, it's been used to hide some "unwanted items" in the more recent past.

Cache is a small Glad container with several small trade items, some of which are old jewelry we didn't wear anymore. We are also leaving the travel bug we picked up months ago and hadn't found a suitable new location for him. So, we decided to make a new one for him ourselves.

You can park at the public park on the end of Stevens Ave near the High Tension Power lines. The trail starts near these coordinates
N 39 44.983'
W074 53.756'

Also, there are a ton of cool old bottles back here, but we didn't take any because we didn't have any bags to carry them. If you do bring a bag, then you can CITO.

And, even though hunting is not allowed in this area, be careful during hunting season and it never hurts to wear some bright colors or orange.
