Long Description:
As we were driving down a small country lane near Hillsboro, I saw a big yellow sign in a front yard that said. "SLOW CHILDREN." How sad. I think it is politically incorrect, and just plain mean, to stigmatize these poor kids in such a public manner. (This is a topic of vigorous debate on the website of the Federal Highway Administration.Link) Imagine going through life with the "label" of being a "slow" child. Are they not agile? Are their brains a little more "challenged" than the rest of us? That is no excuse!
The expectation that we set for these young people will be deterministic of their future performance. I choose to embrace the tongue-in-cheek statement that "all our children are above average." (I fell asleep in statistics class...) Let us affirm them and help them achieve great things!
This cache is for them - and for you. Come on, kids. You can do it! Find this cache. I believe in you.
The micro cache can be a pretty easy find in R P Brooks Park and is easily accessible from the White Rock Creek Greenbelt Trail (WRCGT). The terrain rating (incline) will vary based upon your approach. Please retrieve carefully and replace it exactly as found or it will surely be muggled. It is not in the bushes. Please drive carefully, there may be smart, agile children around!
