This is my 6th Geocaching trail, and I was trying to think of
something witty to call it.
... maybe I should have called it "jaceyb goes to the Somme" as it
was sooo very muddy on some of the hills. If has rained anytime in
the past say 6 months, you may want to take precautions.
... Or maybe something witty about the nice girl in the jodpurs I
was following at one point... (I think she lives near cache 7, so
if someone could get her phone number for me.... )
But no, I have decided on "jaceyb goes to Lodsworth". Lodsworth
itself is an interesting little village. Wikipedia says that the
2001 cencus showed a population of 690, including several nice
girls who I expect wear jodpurs sometimes. Oh and the river Lod
runs close to the east end of the village, guess that's why it's so
wet....

Well ... there's even a well right next to my suggested parking
spot. Guess that also shows how wet it is.
Mr Shepard who did the drawings for Winnie the Pooh and Wind in the
Willows lived here. I didn't see any willows but I did have a spot
of wind.

The Trail :-
A few hills, not too steep, but it does seem to get very muddy. So
please ensure you have appropriate footwear !
Suggested parking is next to the well at N50 59 884, W 0 40 488.
There are 2 ways into the parking area. Vicarage lane is VERY
narrow. My satnav took me that way ...!
Or you can take the slightly wider (maybe wide enough for your wing
mirrors) church lane. This should be on the right just before
vicarage lane. It's opposite a large house with fancy white
railings and it's signposted "to the church" which could be why
it's called church lane.
Theres a pub near the parking spot shown on my OS map. I haven't
been there I'm afraid. If someone could check it out then I know
where to go when I get that phone number....
