Geocache Description:

The Western edge of Merley near the Castleman Trailway
(NB. There is no direct access to the Lane from the A341)

Cache is a round 9x6cm plastic tub with press-on lid, painted black with a Geocache sticker.

Park in Lane, close to recreation ground. Swings for Muggles are at far end but of course occasional dog walkers.
Gates mean access is not Wheelchair friendly.

Look out for an ancient oak tree near the cache site. Its girth is over 4.5 hugs (a British hug is equal to 1.5 metres). If you see an old/ancient tree when Geocaching then consider reporting it on the Woodland Trust Ancient Tree Hunt website.

This is the first or second cache we have hidden (depends which end of the Lane you go to first !)

Contains log book and pencil and other bits and bobs.
