A cache on a great beach, that is not that well visited. The cache is not far from the surf lifesaving club.
I decided to put this cache here as there are a number of Surf Lifesaving clubs that are not represented with a local cache.
The cache is a bit of a walk down the beach, if it is a hot day I recommend you wear footwear, the black sand there can get VERY hot and you could hurt yourself without shoes etc.
Karioitahi Surf Lifesaving club is a tremendous club with a friendly warm atmosphere, walk up and say hi to the guards, they do a great job, and most are volunteers who look after the public for the love of it.
