I used to take my daughters and nephews fossil hunting here. There
is a lot of good plant and mollusk fossils to find. It is a very
interesting fomation with exposed nonfossized ocean mud. As many of
you already know many time during Kansas' prehistoric past it was
under water as ocean as well as inland sea. Here is a site that is
easily accessable for kids. An easy park and grab. Just make sure
you pull off the road completely and be careful of the fast moving
traffic along here.
