Geocache Description:

Geocaching in 2008 finished for Red Deer’s geocachers on a merry note at the “RD’s Merry Geocachers and Happy New Caches Party” (GC1J1MB). While visiting several of the “Days of Cachemas” caches in the area recently (which were placed as part of the party), we were reminded of all the fun we had at the event and all through the year with all the members of and visitors to Red Deer Geocachers. It seems most of us have had some delays getting started geocaching this year, but hopefully everyone will get back to it soon.

Here is a Happy New Cache for local and visiting geocachers alike. If the cache doesn’t make you happy, hopefully the view will be magnificent. Both the moonrise and sunset were gorgeous when the cache was placed. Be merry and safe as you cache!

CAUTION: Once the snow melted, some barbed wire was revealed. Some very close to the cache was removed, but watch where you wander.

Congratulations to forestfyre07 who dropped in (to the deep snow) to make a FTF on the first cache published in the area this year!
