Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Langlade County Veteran's Memorial Park (Jack Lake) area. Parking is available at the Ski Trail trailhead. A voluntary fee is appreciated and is used to maintain the trails. This was designed as a skier-friendly cache, but should be available during any season of the year. The terrain is varied (depending on the route you take to/from the cache location), but the trip is well-worth the effort no matter how you get there.

This cache was placed with the help of our two "deer" friends, and is in honor of our parents, who both passed away in 2008, and enjoyed Geocaching, skiing, birding, hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors in general with us throughout their lives. Original contents include items in both of their memories, as well as other items thoughtfully contributed by our friends. The cache is located a short distance off of the designated ski trail, with minimal bushwacking required. Please replace the cache as you found it, and leave only footprints behind. Please check with the park office (located a short drive from the ski trail parking lot) for further information/questions and/or to get a paper trail map if none are available at the trailhead.
