Geocache Description:

Ultimate Biology Trail Tour Part II

Come one, come all to a geocaching event in the great outdoors! The hope is that Old Man Winter will have a looser grip upon us here in Collegedale. Therefore, we are going to get OUT of our stuffy homes, cramped sedans, compressed cubicles, and jammed traffic to enjoy an event where we can S-T-R-E-T-C-H a little and take a deep breath of the (hopefully) spring-like air.

Speaking of s-t-r-e-t-c-h a little….we will be meeting at the S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D picnic table, home of the “King Arthur’s Fare” (GCJPZE) cache. The event will start at 1:00 SHARP, and we will have a meet n’ greet style gathering. Bring your travel bugs, geocoins, and geo-stories for you as we enjoy each others company.

The event will last a total of 30 minutes. At that time, we are going to take up the log sheet and officially declare the event OVER.

Immediately after the event we are going to hike on the Biology Trail with the goal of findiing the “Ultmate Biology Trail Challenge” (GCY6W0) by Super_Nate.

This part of the event will be a lot like the “Ultimate Biology Trail Tour” (GC10D6J) event that Super_Nate, Big Friend & Little Friend hosted back in February 2007. Only this time we will be on the other end of the trails. Many people have expressed desire to have another Biology Trail hike, so this is your opportunity.

For those who choose to hike with us, plan on about 4 ½ miles of hiking, and about 15 cache finds. Take note that most of the caches on the Biology Trail have terrain ratings of 3.5 and over. So plan on bringing water, snacks, and good shoes to help you withstand the power of Southern's Trails.

What: A meet n’ greet style geocaching event with a hike afterwards
Where: King Arthur’s Table at Southern Adventist University
When: Saturday March 14, 2009 from 1:00 – 1:30pm
Who: EVERYONE! Young and old, boy and girl, husband and wife….this event is for you.

If you do not want to hike, but show up for the event part...you are more than welcome to. We will be at the table from 1:00 pm until around 1:30 pm.
****Please be sure that you sign the log sheet/book that we provide while at the table....that log will be who posts "attended" on this event page****
