5th Street Park and Ride Travel Bug Hotel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ScienceCacher: Because of changes in the area this cache is being taken down. Hopefully another cacher will find an accessible location to place a travel bug hotel where visitors to the area can exchange trackable items. The path to this site has become very difficult and the heavy brush has made this one just impractical for casual visitors.

Geocache Description:

My caching pals, Kestrel139, Grandad Brian, Wizard Austin and I have been discussing the need for another travel bug hotel in our area. We get trackable items from time to time and want a place where we can get them in the hands of cachers who will carry them to their goals.

This TB Hotel is not a park and grab since it is located where it is unlikely to get muggled. No one wants to see their travel bugs and geocoins stolen from a cache. However, it is accessible to travelers on Interstate 64 in either direction. The park and ride area is a convenient stop. Although it looks like the parking coordinates are not the best place to park, but it does lead to the best path up to the hide. I updated the terrain to 2.5 because I placed it in winter but it may rate even higher in the summer. Difficulty is 1.5 since once you are at the coordinates, you will know where it is hidden. The cache is a 6 X 8 Lock & Lock that is well camoed but is in a spot where experienced cachers will be sure to look. Original contents of the cache include: Knights Travel Bug VI Emily’s Travel Bug Gary B. From Moose Alley Sarah’s Travel Bug ScienceCacher’s Geocoin 4 Pathtag from a cache in Hawaii
