OPORD –WWMM (World Wide MAGC Muster)

ZULU
1. SITUATION.
a. The Military Association of Geocachers is hosting a World Wide
MAGC Muster. MAGC members from around the world will be hosting a
group of simultaneous event at their home locations.
b. Muggles constitute the bulk of the enemy forces, but can be
easily converted if they show an interest in geocaching.
c. Any and all cachers are considered to be a member of the
friendly forces. sandhill6061 and MAGC is hosting this M&G of
the March 2009 World Wide Military Association of Geocachers (MAGC)
Muster.
d. It is assumed that all attendees will have fun. It is also
assumed that all attendees will be seen having fun by nearby
muggles. It is further assumed that interest will be generated in
the afore mentioned muggles and that said muggles will seek
forthwith to join the geocaching community. It is finally assumed
that any non-MAGC member would inquire about and pursue membership
in this fine caching group.
2. MISSION. MAGC is proud to host the World Wide MAGC Muster of
the Military Association of GeoCachers and other cachers located in
the South East Coast Area of Operations (Florida). This event is to
muster the cachers of the surrounding area for the purpose of
meeting other like-minded cachers and grubbing down on the various
edible items available at the meeting place located at the
coordinates posted above.
3. EXECUTION.
a. Concept of operations. Cachers will see that a M&G event
has been published to take place at 071800ZMAR2009 (1300 hours
local or 1pm for Civilians). Participation by all cachers is
requested for the maximum effectiveness of this scheduled event. A
physical logbook will be available as directed by GC Command.
Internet access will be available to all participants for the
collection of the appropriate smilies from the GC website and
acknowledgement of the WWMM at the MAGC message board. Enjoyment is
expected to be had by all present. The event will officially
conclude at 071830ZMAR2009 (1330 hours local). However, it is
expected and even encouraged that the assembled cachers will
continue with the festivities well past the ending DTG.
b. Maneuver instructions. The M&G event will take place at a
local eatery in Salt Springs, Fl. Cachers approaching the M&G
location from North will find the location on their right, cachers
approaching from the South will find it on their left. Ample
parking is available on site.
c. Coordinating instructions. If there are questions or concerns,
please feel free to send a message through the GC command email to
sandhill6061.
4. SERVICE SUPPORT.
a. Support concept. The event is hosted by sandhill6061 a member
of MAGC, the Military Association of GeoCachers.
b. WiFi hotspot for internet access.A door prize to one lucky
attendee will be handed out at 1830Z. Cachers presence is
required.
5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL.
A. Command. The WWMM event is published in accordance with GC
guidelines and guidance from its many volunteers who operate to
maintain the safety and integrity of the fine worldwide sport of
geocaching.
b. Signal. The iconic figure of geocaching.com.
Layman’s terms:
Come out and have fun at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday,
March 7, 2009. The M&G is scheduled to last for 30 minutes, but
will probably last a lot longer as new and old cachers alike mingle
and grub out.
Be sure to sign the logbook as well as log in to the GC event page
to claim your smilie. MAGC members will also be able to check in at
the appropriate message board.
