Our inaugural Walsall Cachers Meet will take place on the evening
of Thursday 16th April 2009 at The Black Country Arms, (Corner of
Goodall Street and High Street) Walsall, WS1 1QW. The building
dates back to 1629. Previously known as The Green Dragon, it closed
as a pub in 2006 before being turned into lap-dancing club Cobra,
sorry no lap dancing now.
This is a public house serving a variety of Real Sludge (sorry I
meant Real Ales) the landlords have been kind enough to offer us
the use of their upstairs area. It will be a great opportunity for
people to put faces to names and logs. There will be a box in which
to swap Coins and TBs. Needless to say, there will also be plenty
of GeoChat and banter. To celebrate (and promote) this most
auspicious occasion, a number of caches will be set locally – The
FTF Prizes will be presented at the Meet, but if you are unable to
attend, fear not, you shall have a whole blank log on which to make
your mark. – Enjoy
Looking forward to seeing you all there. There are several caches
close by so if anyone feels like some adding some extra caches to
their evening total, feel free (yes we all know it's not about the
numbers, but it would be rude not to) One additional comment -
Event starts around 7pm however feel free to arrive earlier or
later depending on work and other business you may have to attend
to.
