You are looking for an ammo box.
This is known as the Corral Springs Campsite along the Old Oregon Trail. Visualize what it must have been like 150+ years ago to travel this area in a covered wagon.
There is parking for several vehicles just off the old Umatilla River Road. Please read the interpretive sign as you come through the entry area.
Take your time and see how many different places you can see wagon ruts. There are white trail markers scattered along the way up the draw and along the nearby and far ridges.
Take a nice walk up a gradual slope in the bottom of a draw.
This is one of our favorite places in the spring, fall and winter to get outdoors. In the summer this area can be HOT & DRY.
You might want to take a bottle of water along.

Please be respectful of this area and these lands. The entry sign indicates the owners allow the public to access this area to experience the Oregon Trail as long as visitors are respectful of their lands.
A good place to see deer.
Use every opportunity to CITO.
