Geocache Description:

An ammo box hidden on Howell Island

Mike likes to hike. I have decided to add a few more hiking caches to the area. These caches are designed for you to get away from the car and enjoy a nice hike in one of our many beautiful parks. The point of these caches is the journey to the cache, not the cache itself. They aren't meant to be hard to find but they give you that extra reward while on the trail.

This is located at the Howell Island Conservation Area located off of Eatherton Road. There is a causeway that leads to the island. When the causeway is underwater do not cross to the island! River levels in St. Charles need to be below ~16 feet and can be checked here. There are 8 miles of hiking trails on the island. This cache is hidden just under a mile from the parking area. Enjoy the hike around the island!
