[PT] Esta é uma micro-cache localizada nas imediações da Fonte da Vila de Buarcos, um elemento considerável no património histórico e social da vila. Em relatos de Emília Cego, natural de Buarcos, nascida em 18 de Março de 1910 (ainda no tempo da Monarquia) e falecida em 4 de Janeiro de 2002, podemos ler:
"Memórias de Buarcos que vivi e vi"
Havia uma fonte de nascente com água que parecia cristalina. Atrás da casa do António Costa, estava a correr noite e dia, tinha umas bancas compridas de um lado e de outro. Fonte essa que abastecia toda a povoação de Buarcos. Também os moços das lanchas lá iam encher os barris para levar para o mar. Os rapazes, quando saíam da namora lá iam beber água e, sentados, lá passavam grandes serões. Pessoas de Buarcos acartaram água de noite com os canecos para lavarem em casa. Foi enterrada devido a argumentos burocráticos, quando o Comandante Acácio Ribeiro era Presidente da Junta de Freguesia de Buarcos. O que era bom desapareceu!"
Estes relatos referem-se a esta mesma Fonte da Vila, que há alguns anos foi novamente destapada, após uma máquina que estava a trabalhar no local ter batido com a sua pá na pedra que envolvia a fonte. O local foi sujeito a algumas obras, que conduziram à requalificação daquele espaço nobre e histórico da vila de Buarcos. Vários costumes e tradições estão intimamente ligados a esta Fonte. O jornal "Figueirense", em entrevista a José Gaspar (presidente do Grupo Caras Direitas, associação da vila fundada em 1907), refere:
"Festejar o 1.º de Maio
Num breve resumo, José Gaspar, presidente da direcção do Caras Direitas, recorda que em 1892 existiam três ranchos, passando a cinco, anos mais tarde. Em 1906 destacam-se os ranchos da Praia, da Alegria e da Esmeralda. Um ano depois surge o Rancho da Alegria com a organização de um grupo de rapazes que se intitularam de “Caras Direitas”. Na década de 30 salientaram-se as actuações dos ranhos dos Palecos, da Beira Mar e dos Filipes. Já em 1938, o Caras Direitas organiza formalmente o Rancho das Cantarinhas. Refira-se que todos estes agrupamentos dançavam com cantarinhas à cabeça, objecto que se tornou um dos símbolos da vila de Buarcos. As cantarinhas foram, desde a sua utilização nos ranchos, devidamente decoradas e enquadradas nas comemorações do feriado do Dia do Trabalhador, a 1 de Maio. Os ranchos partiam então da Fonte da Vila, em desfile por algumas ruas de Buarcos. As mulheres transportavam as cantarinhas decoradas nas suas cabeça, dançando com elas em animados despiques para ver quem seria a primeira a deixar cair a cantarinha no chão. O costume é ainda hoje perpetuado pelo Rancho das Cantarinhas de Buarcos."
Também o site online do famoso, nacional e internacionalmente reconhecido, Rancho das Cantarinhas de Buacos (www.cantarinhas.com) faz referência a esta tradição: "O Rancho das Cantarinhas de Buarcos representa a reminiscência das “Maias”. A tradição na vila piscatória de Buarcos constava na ida das raparigas à fonte na madrugada do dia 1 de Maio com as cantarinhas à cabeça, enfeitadas com flores, vestindo os seus trajes domingueiros, cantando e dançando nas ruas com os seus namorados."
Contudo, actualmente não é possível servirmo-nos da água que durante largos anos foi um ex-líbris da vila, uma vez que de momento a sua qualidade não o permite.
A CACHE
Poderão encontrar o container sem ter de descer as escadas da fonte. Do lado direito vão encontrar um muro de cimento com vários buracos. Na última fila de buracos (a que está mais perto do "telhado" da fonte) podem encontrar o container. Esta cache já desapareceu uma vez, por isso decidi criar um container inovador e original, na minha opinião. O container tem logbook e stashnote, mas TERÃO QUE LEVAR ALGO COM QUE ESCREVER! These reports refer to the same fountain of the Village, which was a few years back unstop after a machine that was working on site have hit in the rocks of the fountain. The site was subject to some works, which led to the reclassification of that space and noble history of the town of Buarcos. Many customs and traditions are closely linked to this fountain. However, it is currently not possible to drink the water that for years was an important symbol of the town.
The CACHE
On the right side there is a cement wall with several holes. In the last row of holes (the closest to the "roof" of the source) you can find the cache. It is very easy. I beg you to have extra care when putting back the plastic covering the cache, due to protect the cache from the water. The box contains a stashnote and de the logbook.
