Geocache Description:

GSC 1923 Lookout

Enjoy a nice hike along an old logging road and ATV trail along a power line to a beautiful lookout over Belleisle Bay.  Most of the hike is in the open, but closer to the cache, you have to go off on a trail through the woods.

The cache is located within 23 meters of a 1923 Geological Survey of Canada marker.  When there is no snow on the ground, you can read the date on the brass marker in the rock.  From what we understand, it marks the highest point around the Belleisle Bay.

This cache was placed by some members of the Saint John Outdoor Enthusiasts Club.

The First to Find Prize is a Saint John Outdoor Enthusiast Club toque, donated by a member of the club.

Parking is available at the corner of Scarlett Lane and Retired and Broke Drive!

It is approximately a 2.5 km hike to the cache from the parking location.  There is a shorter route to the cache but the start of the trail is quite steep.  The parking co-ordinates to get to the cache by the shorter route are North 45.39.961 and West 065.52.278.
