Geocache Description:

10/12 Bees have made a hive 3 or 4 feet from the cache. The cache can easily be seen and reached without bothering the bees; however, if you are alergic I expect you might not want to be that close to the bee hive.

Do not take the rubber stamp or inkpad, this is a Modified Letterbox Hybrid. As such the intention is to follow descriptive clues to find the cache rather than coordinates. Letterboxes generally have a rubber stamp and the idea is to collect a print of these stamps and bring your own signiture stamp to print in the cache log book. If you are a letterboxer, please stamp the log with your stamp. If you don't have a stamp, feel free to just sign the log. Recently we undertook a challenge for GC1E8E3 "LetterboxHybrid -California Challenge of the Century" We visited three states to complete this challenge and score the FTF on that cache. We realized there just aren't very many of this type. We also discovered how fun and creative they can be. We even found one that hadn't been found for 3.5 years. I am putting this cache out to celebrate that milestone of 100 letterbox hybrids, and encourage others to look and hide this fun type. From the starting coordinates take the road west. Go about a .1 miles and turn left, but remember to go the right direction and stay right. After a short drive you will be unable to drive any further and you may choose to stop for a restroom. Near The western most point of this area you will find a pedestrian bridge. Cross the bridge and turn on the path to the right. Continue until you find a telephone pole on the left.

From this mark, you should proceed about 40 steps which is about halfway to the pine and into view of the bay. At this point you should find the non-descript landmark.

You should probably mark this spot. When here, you are 120 feet due South West of the letterbox hybrid cache. It should be an easy one star find when you get close, a large camo taped nut jar sitting uncovered and easily reachable in the crook of a large tree. To make it even easier, I am giving you a picture where the cache is that is taken from a point just a bit closer than the non-descript landmark.

Please be careful finding your way to the cache, as there may be hazards with some routes. Don’t let the star ratings trick you into taking unnecessary risks. This can be found safely and I believe easily. Bushwhacking the shortest route to the cache is not advised. Please try not to damage our park or it’s foliage when you are off a major trail and do not take the rubber stamp or inkpad. They are part of this letterbox.
