Geocache Description:

Eland Wood, Six Lanes End.

This new wood consists of 25 acres of mixed broad leaved and coniferous trees. It forms part of the western edge of the National Forest, and provides a permissive right of way which links to Bollington wood making a circular walk.

Although we live locally, we stumbled by this wood by accident. The wood is part of the Needwood estate which was given to Edmund, first earl of Lancaster by his father Henry III in1266.

The container is slightly larger the your average micro and is often referred to as a "Friedel Micro", its a strong plastic tube containing just a log, pencil and a pen.
This wood links the public rights of way through the Bollington wood making a circular walk.
I have listed a Parking place. This is at the side of the road towards Newborough. This is a tricky junction as its name suggests.
There is a gate entrance to the wood.
