In the winter of 2005, Funky Nassau and 5 other geocachers invaded
Shediac Island and Ma & Pa' s house and found the few caches on
the island.
While on the island Funky placed a cache in a thorny old bush and
called it THORNY OLD MAN. The cache is now gone but the invasion is
still remembered because it lead to the annual Shediac Island Ice
Walk which draws over 40 cachers each year from all over the
Maritimes.
In order to commemorate the start of this annual event. We have
placed this cache in another Thorny old man. Watch out for his
sharp thorns.
