Scott Morgan (aka Parkfamily), Superintendent of Lorimer Park
will
be hosting a Geocaching class at Lorimer Park. From 1pm to 3pm
Saturday,
April 4. This is the third year at Lorimer Park.
This is an introduction to Geocaching class for local residents
of
Montgomery County at Lorimer Park and is part of an on-going
partnership between the Geocaching community of Southeastern
Pennsylvania and Lorimer Park. Following a twenty-minute
presentation on the basics of Geocaching, we will need Geocachers
to take the muggles out for their first Geocaching experience. The
entire class should take about two
hours. It doesn't matter if you have found 5 caches or 500, if
you are a Geocacher you have enough experience to help
out.
Lorimer Park is home to four Geocaches that have been
frequently
referred to as classic examples of how to hide a Geocache.
Ranging
from a walk in the woods and an easy find to challenging
terrain
and hides.
Sorry no dogs are allowed at Lorimer Park.
Parking is available across the street from the park
entrance. You
can drive your car down the entrance to the park to load and
unload.
