I scoped this one out for the 5th annual VIGPS event on a wild and woolly 4x4 drive, a little birthday fun for me . Couldn't make it to the summit cause of the snow but there are caches up there already and muggles,so here is a different Pre_view.
The drive, hike,or bike is wild and woolly but the view is worth it, would recommend 4x4 but I know someone will attempt with his Honda Civic, that's just human nature. Gates below may be closed mid July til fall, (fire season) so take your hikers, a camera, a snack and some hydration. It's a few kms walk . If the gates are open it's a drive to. s Do not attempt to reach from the summit, steep cliffs. Sorry about the summer blackberries, I placed it after some deep snowfalls so guess I walked over top of them.
July 20 2012 gate is closed at bottom of Mt Prevost and Sicker until the next good rains, likely in the fall.
